Natural gas fitter — Isle of Wight County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply What we are looking for: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
