Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Lake County, Minnesota. The job is on site fitting windows in new-build flats. On a typical shift you will cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
