Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundworker in Washington County, Tennessee. You will work on a residential housing site. What we are looking for: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Your main tasks: • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
