Now hiring: we are hiring a refrigeration technician in Northampton County, Virginia. You will work on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Requirements: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints The role involves: • Clean condenser and evaporator coils • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Service split AC units and VRF systems • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
