Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi. The job is at a shipyard. Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
