Urgent requirement: we are hiring a concrete placer in Humboldt County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers The role involves cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. $3,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
