Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Screven County, Georgia. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling On a typical shift you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
