Stitching operator • Ibaji, Kogi State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stitching operator in Ibaji, Kogi State. You will work at a busy garment factory. Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance ₦450 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
