Immediate opening: pipe TIG welder (West Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Putnam County, West Virginia. Your main tasks: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection We offer $11,250 per project plus benefits.
