The role involves spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil. Requirements: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
