Argon arc welder wanted in Costilla County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Costilla County, Colorado. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
