Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Grant County, Oklahoma. The job is on a busy housing site. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On a typical shift you will raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
