We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Kentucky)

Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Bell County, Kentucky. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
