Foundry operative wanted in Wadena County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Wadena County, Minnesota. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Your main tasks: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Full-time, day shift.
