Reinforcement fitter — City of Lexington

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in City of Lexington, Virginia. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions.
