Foundry operative wanted in Tama County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Tama County, Iowa. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle.
