You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Valid driving licence for site call-outs On a typical shift you will carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables.
