Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete worker in Cumberland County, Illinois. The job is at an infrastructure site. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet The role involves: • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
