Immediate opening: we are hiring a roofing labourer in Tompkins County, New York. The job is at a busy roofing firm. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather • A driving licence is an advantage for site travel • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls Day to day you will solder and seam standing-seam metal roof sheets; set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing; bed and point ridge tiles with mortar; nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses; seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing.
