GTAW welder • Cass County, Iowa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Cass County, Iowa. You will work on a structural steel site. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours.
