Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Gordon County, Georgia. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks The role involves: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
