Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Terry County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits.
