Vacancy available: we are hiring a protective coatings painter in Furnas County, Nebraska. The job is at a property maintenance company. What we are looking for: • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Physically fit for standing, bending and reaching all day On a typical shift you will fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps; strip old paint and wallpaper with scrapers and heat guns; mask off windows, skirting and fittings with tape and sheeting; work safely from ladders, scaffolding and mobile towers; prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer; apply primer, undercoat and two topcoats with brush and roller. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
