You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On a typical shift you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator.
