Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Polk County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection 5+ years on the tools preferred.
