Skimming plasterer • Gaston County, North Carolina

Great opportunity: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Gaston County, North Carolina. You will work at a plastering and dry lining contractor. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline Your main tasks: • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
