Great opportunity: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Santa Cruz County, California. The job is at a busy gas installation company. Requirements: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces You will install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
