Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe operator in City of Covington, Virginia. Requirements: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts Your main tasks: • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
