Steel erection rigger — Lawrence County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Lawrence County, South Dakota. You will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Full-time with occasional weekends.
