Gas meter installer — Tensas Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a boiler and appliance service centre. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Driving licence for travel between sites • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
