Foundry operative • Ozark County, Missouri

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Ozark County, Missouri. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
