Join our team: MIG welder (Wales)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a MIG welder in Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc 4+ years on the tools preferred.
