Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in City of Winchester, Virginia. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Day-to-day duties: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
