Now hiring: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Ellis County, Texas. The job is at a shipyard. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position.
