Slinger signaller wanted in Keokuk County

Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit.
