Stainless steel welder wanted in Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Monroe County, Tennessee. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
