You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test The role involves: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Full-time with occasional weekends.
