Now hiring: fabrication workshop technician (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Marion County, Illinois. The job is at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. The role involves: • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame What we are looking for: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
