Immediate opening: tailor machinist (Tennessee)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Cocke County, Tennessee. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams You will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $2,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
