Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. You should have: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Your main tasks: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
