Meat trimmer — Calhoun County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Calhoun County, West Virginia. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Your main tasks: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
