Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Bedford, England. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Confident with standard crane hand signals On the job you will handle: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around £1,850 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
