Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Iowa County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; record output and downtime on the production sheet; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; set up and change stamping dies and tooling. Ideal candidate: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
