Day to day you will bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer. Ideal candidate: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Part-time with flexible hours.
