Metal caster — Claiborne Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Rotating shifts.
