Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Rockingham County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured Ideal candidate: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
