Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Nueces County, Texas. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
