Concrete pump mate — Bath County

Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Bath County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
