Immediate opening: tube and fitting scaffolder (Michigan)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tube and fitting scaffolder in Presque Isle County, Michigan. You will work on a bridge maintenance job. Day to day you will tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner; set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground; fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform; inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use; hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope; erect debris netting, sheeting and brick guards. Requirements: • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards • Working-at-height / PASMA training an advantage • Full use of harness, lanyard and fall-arrest equipment Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
