Tig welder wanted in Bronx County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Bronx County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day 3+ years on the tools preferred.
